I’ve been getting alot of calls to fix overLayed pool decks etc.. make sure when hiring a professional that you ask questions,  and most importantly never allow a contractor to overlay over top of any cementious materials that were applied previously, make sure the overlay that is being applied is over top of bare concrete… so you don’t end up with failing materials

so, in recent years inflation has had its effect on everything, from the food we need to survive, housing, interest rates and concrete and all the materials in concrete has caused the price of concrete to sky rocket.. in a few short years the price for 1cubic yd has doubled. so, for 81sqft @ 4″ you can expect to pay about $300.00, wood prices are through the roof as well as concrete reinforcements, such as steel wire mesh and rebar. So, if you’re a homeowner looking to have any kind of concrete construction/construction in general keep this in mind when hiring a contractor, the cheapest way is not always the best way..
